Fatigue and Creep crack growth

Machine structures and parts are typically subjected to dynamic loads, i.e. various forms of loads with variable magnitudes, thus insight into the behaviour of strucures in such conditions is of great importance.

In the case of structural parts for which safety is of crucial importance, it is necessary to approach the calculation in a way that ensures this safety in the case when the structure is in a damaged state. Thus, in the case of fatigue calculations, it is assumed that an initial crack is present and that fatigue and fracture of that structure are caused by it.
